As you saw on my last post, I visited the Ethical Fashion Show in Berlin. Whilest running around and looking at all of pretty cloth, I had the pleasure to meet Niki , the managing director of BETTER ON ME and her lovely assistant. They produce fair-trade, vegan & eco-friendly t-shirts with photographs on them! They are not only pretty to look at, they also tell a story .

I ordered the GRACE & NATALIE shirt the next day.

What I personally really like about this brand is fact that they don't just try to sell their shirts, they try to get you to listen to the story which lays behind every photograph. The one with the sheep & the woman, for instance : Grace (the blind sheep) got rescued by Natalie and brought to the Farm Sanctuary in New York State, USA.

I have been waiting for them since last January ! You can find a lot of vegan/fair/eco-friendly brands which are as fashionable as one can be!
Jan'nJune, Wunderwerk & Better on me (the three Shirts down below) are just a few to name.

I really like going there for the inspiration but most of the brands don't produce fair or eco-friendly. :/

13.5 oz. olive oil
16 oz. distilled water
6.5 oz. lye (NaOH)
lavender blossoms or lemon zest (or whatever you like)

The food

What we ordered:

2X Matcha Lattes

one caesar salad with roasted tofu and bread,

one spinach/potato quiche,

and chilli sin carne with nacho crisps and an avocado mango dip.

Rating

-the salad- very creamy (in a good way) but a little too salty

the crispy tofu was perfect (normally I wouldn't eat tofu just like that but this one was very tasty )

-the chilli- to be honest I was very sceptical about it (just had bad experiences )but it turned out pretty good, as expected there were a lot beans in there, but I guess that is normal, however it tasted good- the perfect mixture of juicy tomato sauce and different sorts of beans

- the quiche - oh my word, this one was the best, the ones saying that a good quiche can't be without eggs are lying ! It was just made out of potatoes and spinach and the very crispy base - you may think it's very crumbly and dry but I swear it is not!

-the latte- do I need to say much? the green matcha coconut sugared latte was ....(you can all guess)... perfect !
